The Nubia Z50 flagship smartphone, which was launched in December, is getting a new color option in celebration of the upcoming Chinese New Year, also known as the Year of the Rabbit. The new red color option is being released in time for the Chinese New Year on January 22nd. The Nubia Z50 features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and a custom 35mm equivalent main camera with a 64 MP Sony IMX787 sensor. It was originally released in three colors: Black, White, and Vegan Leather Green.
The nubia Z50 is a new flagship smartphone from the ZTE brand. It was released on December 26th, 2022. It features a dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by) slot and supports GSM/CDMA/HSPA/LTE/5G networks.
The phone has a glass front and back, with an aluminum frame. It measures 162.9 x 72.9 x 8.5 mm or 8.7 mm and weighs 197 g or 199 g. It comes in several colors: Black, Silver, Mint, and a special “Rabbit Red” edition to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
The display is an AMOLED with 1 billion colors, 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ and 1000 nits. It’s 6.67 inches and has a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a density of ~395 ppi.
The phone runs on Android 13 and MyOS 13, and is powered by a Qualcomm SM8550 Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4 nm) chipset, with an octa-core CPU (1×3.2 GHz Cortex-X3 & 2×2.8 GHz Cortex-A715 & 2×2.8 GHz Cortex-A710 & 3×2.0 GHz Cortex-A510) and an Adreno 740 GPU. It comes with a choice of 128GB 8GB RAM, 256GB 8GB RAM, 256GB 12GB RAM, 512GB 12GB RAM, 1TB 16GB RAM with UFS 4.0 and UFS 3.1 (128GB only)
The main camera is dual and features a 64 MP, f/1.6, 35mm (standard), 1/1.7″, PDAF, OIS and 50 MP, f/2.2, 14mm, 116˚ (ultrawide), AF. It also has a Ring-LED flash (4 LEDs), panorama, HDR and records videos in 8K and 4K. The front camera is a single 16 MP, (wide) with HDR and records 1080p@30fps.
The device doesn’t have a 3.5mm jack and comes with stereo speakers, 24-bit/192kHz audio. It also has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6e, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct and Bluetooth 5.3, A2DP, LE, GPS (L1+L5), GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO, QZSS, NFC and USB Type-C 3.1, OTG. It also has sensors like fingerprint (under display, optical), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass.
The battery is a Li-Po 5000 mAh, non-removable that supports 80W wired charging.
