An earthquake was felt in parts of the country on Friday 3 August 2013, including Islamabad, Abbottabad, Peshawar, Narowal, Sheikhpura, Faisalabad and Kashmir. The quake’s magnitude was recorded 5.4 on the Richter scale. The country experienced its worst earthquake in 2005 earthquake in which more than 73,000 died.
